CLIFFORD S. BOWSHER, 92, of Troy, formerly of Lima, died at 5:20 a.m., Dec. 5, 2003, at Covington Care Center.
He was born June 23, 1911, in Shawnee Township to Oscar Leon and Blanche Marie Roser Bowsher, who preceded him in death. On March 13, 1934, he married Grace Marie Wilson, who died Feb. 16, 1994.
Mr. Bowsher had been a farmer. He was a roll and lathe operator for Teledyne Ohio Steel. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lima, the Cridersville and Allen County historical societies, and the 25-year club at Teledyne Ohio Steel.
Survivors include a son, Steven A. Bowsher of Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Diana (Michael) Bair and Deborah (Dale) Rudisill, both of Troy; a daughter-in-law, Margaret "Peggy" (Roop) Bowsher of Clovis, Calif.; and nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Lee Bowsher; two daughter, Patricia Bowsher and Nancy Ann Anaya; and a brother, Eugene Bowsher.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Revs. Robert Gibson, Gil Krosue and Kathryn Anadein officiating. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery, near Cridersville.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
