Mrs. Christie Of Ashland Dies Suddenly Friday
Ashland - Mrs. Dora Christie wife of Roscoe Christie, died suddenly last night. She was found dead in her bed at 11:30 p.m. be her husband. Mrs. Christie had suffered with a heart condition but her death was unexpected.
She was born in North Carolina Jan. 15, 1891, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Chappell. The family moved to Kentucky and later to Illinois. The Christies had lived in Ashland for 3 years.
They were parents of seven children, two of them are living. There are ten grandchildren. A twin sister, of Mrs. Christie, Mrs. Nora King of Ashland and a brother, Rev. Wesley Chappell, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, survive.
The body is at Hensley Funeral Home at Pleasant Plains.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Richland Baptist church, east of Pleasant Plains. Interment will be in Pleasant Plains cemetery.
