Patience Marie Monk was born on August 13, 1974 in Havre de Grace, Maryland.
She is survived by her parents: Father, Carl (Patricia) Monk of Connecticut and Mother, Evelyn Claxton of Alabama. She is survived by her children: Edwin Stevens, Caitlyn Stevens and Devlin Allen, all of Arizona. She leaves behind her siblings: Jessica (LeRoy) Claxton of Alabama, Jennifer Claxton of Maryland, Kelly Finlan Sherman (Jan), Will Finlan and Jason Mook; and first husband Robert (Karen) Stevens of Arizona. She also leaves many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, a Niece, Nephews and Friends.
She was preceded in death by her second husband Sgt Howard Paul Allen, (2005); her paternal, beloved Grandmother, Nathalie "Nat" Monk (2014); her paternal Aunt, Billie Monk (2011); her step-father, Joseph Claxton (2017) and her nephew, Joshua Lee Claxton (2002).
She graduated from Ledyard High School in Connecticut; she then attended Collins University in Tempe, AZ, for computer science and studied psychology at the University of Phoenix.
She loved the color purple, dragons and magic (Her Lady Amythest). She thoroughly enjoyed graphic art and pixeling. Her favorite Disney movie was Beauty and the Beast, and she loved NASCAR.
She was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders group and rode in "Reapers Ride" with the motorcycle riders. She was also a member of the Gold Star Wives Group.
She was laid to rest with her husband, Paul at the National Memorial Cemetery in Cave Creek, Arizona on Thursday September 21, 2017 At 11 am.
