Adkins died in a Glasgow hospital after a long illness.
Born Sept. 4, 1904, in Hillman, Minn., he spent his early life in that state.
He moved to Noxon, in western Montana, in 1924, then to Frazer in 1927. His farm was three miles east of Frazer.
He married Marie Peters at Wolf Point, Sept. 16, 1927, and she survives as do two sons and a daughter, Jack, 17; Rodney, 12, at home; and Shirley Robertson of Tillamook, Ore.; sisters, Rose Nash of Orofino, Idaho; Grace Britton of Brainard, Minn.; and Naomi Rieke of Kimball, Minn.; and by three grandchildren.
