Roy Leo Thompson

Roy Leo Thompson, 82, of Tremonton, was dead on arrival at the Bear River Valley Hospital Wednesday, August 16, 1978, of a heart attack.
Mr. Thompson was born May 8, 1896, in Axtel, Utah, a son of Peter Christian and Jensena Nielson Thompson.

He was married to Leah Y. Myrup on Sept. 13, 1915, in Manti, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on May 29, 1964.
She died March 28, 1974.
He was reared and educated in Axtel.
He was a retired farmer and had worked at milling companies in the Bear River Valley.
He was a high priest in the Tremonton 2nd LDS Ward and had served as a home teacher.
Surviving are one son and four daughters, LeRoy Junior Thompson, Rea Thompson, both of Tremonton; Mrs. Leora Eberhard, Mrs. LeRoy (Cleon) Petersen, both of Bothwell; Mrs. Neil (Barbara) Koford, Garland; 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother and three sisters, Fred Thompson, Grouse Creek, Utah; Mrs. Sayah Couchman, Murray; Mrs. Ada Breech, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Oterra Johnson, Martinez, Calif.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Tremonton 2nd - 5th Ward Chapel.
Burial in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
