ROTH, Doris (Baechler) Passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at VON Sakura House, Woodstock. Doris was born 86 years ago in East Zorra Township and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Baechler (Bender). Beloved wife of the late Alvin Roth who predeceased her in 1961. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Diane Roth of Courtney, B.C.; Wilbur and Peggy Roth of Kitchener; Cliff Roth and Anne Schlorff of Waterloo; Stewart and Wendy Roth of Woodstock; Susan and Mike Brenneman of New Dundee. Doris will be forever loved by her nine grandchildren and nine great-grand- children. She is survived by her sister-in-law Florence Baechler of New Hamburg and Verna Baechler of Vancouver, B.C. as well as many nieces and nephews. Doris is predeceased by her great-grandson Ira Cressman Roth, brothers, sister, brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Emerson and Florence Baechler; William and Annie Baechler; Alice and Menno Zehr; Omer and Marion Baechler; Arthur and Idella Baechler; Ezra and Olive Baechler; Earl Baechler; Joe and Cathy Baechler, and Rufus Baechler. Doris was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener. She was an avid quilter who made quilts for all of her children and grandchildren. She also had a great passion for cooking and making sure everyone who was in her presence was fed well and was a cook at Emmanuel Bible College for many years. Family and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 p.m. for a time of visitation. The Funeral service will take place at First Mennonite Church, Kitchener on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Nancy Brubaker officiating.
