He was preceded in death by his first wife: Linda Janice Waters Byrns, three brothers: Terry Byrns, Victor Byrns, Tharpe Byrns, one sister: Novella Byrns. Mr. Byrns was a retired correction officer with the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

Visitation with the Byrns family will be Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Stockdale-Malin Funeral in Camden, TN from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM
