Bertha married Charles Keiffer Moffett on 24 Jun 1903 in Freestone Co., TX. In 1905, they were living in Kingsville, TX. they had an infant son who was born and died that year. At some point, she returned to Fairfield and was a milliner by trade. It was said she was an excellent seamstress and was known for her needlework.Bertha died at the home of her parents in Fairfield of tuberculosis. Her death certificate shows her marital status as divorced. Her death certificate was signed by her father, William Sanford Watson of Fairfield, Texas. since she died relatively young at the age of 37.
