Darrel C. Van Erem, 91, of Jamestown died Friday, September 15 at Eventide, Jamestown.Darrel was born April 9, 1926 at Jamestown, ND the son of George and Kathryn (Brown) Van Erem. He grew up on the family farm near Buchanan and attended high school in Buchanan graduating in 1944. He entered the United States Army on May 4, 1945 and served Asiatic-Pacific theater, was honorably discharged Nov. 30, 1946. He farmed in the Buchanan area all his life, he retired in 1981. He remained on the farm until 2002, when he moved to Jamestown.

Darrel is survived by his brother, Harvey Van Erem; three nieces and four nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Victor Van Erem.

Funeral service; 10:30 AM, Friday, September 22, 2107 at Eddy Funeral Home with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.

Visitation; 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 21, at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial; North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND
