Martha Tabitha (Anderson) Perry was the daughter of Ensley Benton Anderson and Mary Ann Blackwell. She married Marcus Lafayette Wilkins on September 24, 1865, in Gilmer County, Georgia. They had eight children: William, Mary, Nancy, John, Joseph, Robert, Floyd and James. They moved from Georgia to Arkansas where they farmed in Madison and Benton Counties. They eventually moved to the Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory. After Marcus died on May 4, 1909, in Barry County, Missouri, she married the widower, Simeon Perry, on November 18, 1913 in Carroll County, Arkansas. She was living with her daughter, Mary Jane (Wilkins) Vanover, when she died on August 14, 1936.
