Charles Franklin Caldwell, 96, of Marietta passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017, at Brookdale Senior Living Facility. He was born February 11, 1921, in Pennsboro, WV, to the late Russell “Archie” Caldwell and Lilly Jane Samples Caldwell.

Chuck was a graduate of Marietta High School and attended The Ohio State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during WWII, was a member of American Legion Post 64, Marietta Civitan Club, #390 Masonic Harmar Lodge, Valley of Cambridge Alladdin Shrine Columbus, OH and attended Gilman United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Caldwell Venetian Blind Company for 45 years. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Sharon Marie Bleehaus of Watertown, NY and sisters, Marguerite Phillips of Marietta and Letha Crow of Elyria, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Chuck married Mary Drennen who preceded him in death in 1958 and later he married Myrtle Lou Wade who preceded him in death in 2013. He was also preceded in death by his sister Ruth Venham.

Family will greet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Wednesday (Sept. 20) from 9 until 10:30 am with graveside services following at 11: 00am at Highland Ridge Cemetery.
