Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Gainesville for Joseph Hyde, 87, of Gainesville, route 3. The Rev. C.E. Vaughn will officiate and interment will be in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home and will be placed in the chapel at 2 p.m. Mr. Hyde, a lifelong resident of Hall County, died yesterday at a private convalescent home following an extended illness. He was employed by the Pacolet Manufacturing Company for 28 years as a loom fixer and a second hand. He later went to work for the post office and retired from there in 1954. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bell Hyde, Gainesville; one son L.C. Hyde, Gainesville; one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Lovedahl, Chico, Calif.; five grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
