James E. Chinn
James E. Chinn, owner and operator of the Community Pharmacy at NE 30th Ave. and Alberta St. for the past 38 years, died Wednesday. His funeral will be Monday at noon at Colonial Mortuary with entombment at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum.
Mr. Chinn was born March 11, 1891, at Calio [sic], Mo.
An Oregon resident for 45 years, Mr. Chinn made his home at 4711 NE 31st Ave. He received a degree in pharmacy from Oregon State College.
Mr. Chinn was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Highland Congregational Church and Multnomah Lodge No. 1 AF&AM, Oregon City.
Survivors include the widow Olive K.; one daughter, Glennice Surface of Oregon City; one brother, Lawrence of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Louise Appel of Boise and Lottie Evans of Glenns Ferry, Idaho; and four grandchildren.
