CHARLESTON — Helen L. (Craig) Stroup, 77, of Charleston, passed away on Oct. 27, 2010, at 1:25 p.m. at her home in Charleston.
She was born Oct. 4, 1933, daughter of Bob and Letha (Craig) Craig.
She is survived by her children Zach and Cearra Stroup, of Charleston; Deborah Lewis, of Mattoon; Paula Nading, Charleston; Sheryl Stice of Lexington, Ky.; Billy K. Burris, of Rock Hill, S.C.; Rhonda Atkins, of Kileen Texas; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and special friends Daisy Moss, Michael Sweeney, Louise Wilkerson, and Louise Garrett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mervin E. Stroup in 2002; daughter, Regina Kim Dooley in 1991; and two grandchildren, Preston Maxedon and Austin Dooley.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 12:30 p.m. at Miller's Banquet Hall, 307 6th Street, in Charleston. The visitation will begin at 11 a.m. prior to the memorial service.
