Mary Rose (Eagan) Rone, 83, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, September 15 at Redbanks Skilled Nursing Center in Henderson. Mrs. Rone was born September 16, 1933 in Hancock County to the late Jerry and Georgia Clark Eagan. Mary was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church and served in the nursery. She worked in the cafeteria at Thruston Elementary. Mary enjoyed walking between 4-5 miles on the Greenbelt every day.

Mrs. Rone also was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald Rone, in 2015; a son, David Rone; son-in-law, Brent Wilson; three sisters, Dorothy Gray, Wanda Louise Coomes, and Thelma May Kennedy.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Charlotte Crowe and husband Doug and Alice Wilson and husband Brent; sons, Jerry Rone and wife Sandy, Donnie Rone, and Gary Rone and wife Vada all of Owensboro; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; brother, Mike Eagan; numerous nieces and nephews.

The service will be 10:00 AM Monday Yellow Creek Baptist Church with Dr. James Wedding officiating. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
