"Vicky Lynn Branscum, age 62, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Vicky was born on October 25, 1954 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Willard Branscum and Ladora Calhoun Buxton. Vicky dedicated her life to loving her children and grandchildren, working hard, and being a wonderful friend. She loved arts & crafts, visiting ghost towns, dancing with her girlfriends, and exploring history. She was a talented painter and a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Ohio. She was loved by all will never be forgotten.

She is survived by two daughters, Jamie (and P.J.) Chesson of Far Hills, NJ and Kristina Sams of Somerset, KY; one brother, Barry Branscum of FL; one sister, Robin Branscum of FL; six grandchildren, Cash, Presley, Keely, Jaidyn, Raven, and Willow; special friends, Alan & Kathy Sams and Nova & Jason Mullins; a second mom, Mary Sams; and her long time sister-friends, Debbie and Robin of Ohio.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Shawn Sams and her step-father, John Buxton.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 12:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Miller officiating. 

Burial will be at Eubank Cemetery."
