Henry J. (Jeff) Woodard, 79, passed away Jan. 14, at Akron General Medical Center.
 
Born in Smith County, Tenn., he had lived in Akron since 1952.  He had retired from U.S. Stoneware/Norton Co. in Tallmadge, with 22 years service.  He was a member of the Chapel of Prayer.
 
He is survived by wife, Nellie M.; sons, J.C. of Murfreesboro, Tenn., John of Tallmadge, Kenneth of Akron, Bobby of Randolph; daughters, Louise Woodroof of Akron, Frances Hershberger of Akron; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters, Susie Vaden of Springfield, Tenn., Edna Bates of Indianapolis, Ind., Olean Harville of Carthage, Tenn., Dean Baker of Doyle, Tenn., Bassie Christian and Ann Martin, both of Carthage, Tenn.
 
Funeral services Monday, 11 a.m., at Eckard-Baldwin Funeral Home, Rev. Sherman L. Bailey officiating.  Interment Hillside Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  (Eckard-Baldwin, 760 E. Market, 535-7141.)
