Jonnie Neely LeMond Barstow/Center was born June 26, 1883 in Albany, Texas, the daughter of John Neely LeMond and Willie M. Laird. Her father died of illness when she was not even one year old - Jonnie was listed as an "interesting child" in her father's obituary. Her mother, Willie, remarried in 1891 to Andrew Jackson Center (1850-1928). Jonnie married Herbert Symonds Barstow in 1914 and they had two children - Helen (Barstow) Slaton (1916-2001), and William Spencer Barstow (1919-1944). William died in 1944 during WW2 while training as an Aviation Cadet in the USAAF. She died in Lubbock, Texas, March 13, 1976.
