JOHNSTONE, Marjorie Nola Born in Provo, Utah, December 3, 1923, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at Hospice House of Spokane the morning of February 22, 2014.
Nola was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her sister, Darlene Maselli; and her brother, David L. Cox of the U.S. Navy.

Upon graduation from high school, Nola worked for the City of Provo and married the love of her life, Earl Samuel Johnstone.

With the attack on Pearl Harbor, Earl joined the Navy and was stationed at Farragut for training.

Nola left Provo to be near him and settled in Spokane where she worked in the insurance industry for many years, retiring in 1988.

Although no formal service is planned at this time, a private celebration of life service is planned at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in Nola's name to Friends of Manito, any animal shelter or Hospice of Spokane would be very deeply appreciated.
