At a Court Held in Frederick County Saturday the 8th day of Feb. 1755 for the Examination of John S***er for Felony.
John S***er being committed to the court of this County by Virtue of a Warrant under the hand and seal of Thomas Bryan Martin, Gent one of his Magistrate Justice's of the said County and being brought by the Sheriff to the Bar The Prisoner Waved in Court all matters of Law and Submitted himself to the Judgement of the Court Alexander Se***ion and David Ashbey Evidence for Our Sovereign Lord the King being Sworn and heard It is Ordered by the Court that the Sheriff take him to the Whipping Post and give him Twenty Nine Lashes on his bare Back well laid on and that he Deliver him to Col. Stevens as a Vagrant to Serve his Majesty as a Soldier in the present Expedition and to make a Receipt according to Law. Then the Court broke up. MARQUIS CALMES

Virginia 7 Sept. 1784 Sale of Property sold to John MILTON for the Sum of 345 pounds for his home tract containing 115a with all its houses buildings, orchards, gardens, meadows, ways, paths, water courses, profits, commodities, hereditaments & appurtenances situated in Frederick Co. Virginia at the line of Carter's Patent, corner of Francis STRIBLING by the road leading from Battletown to Berry's Ferry at the line of Edward SNICKERS, it being part of a larger tract once possessed by Samuel ISAACS and by his Will devised the same to Godfrey Isaacs and he conveyed this portion to said David ASHBY 2 & 3 Sept. 1767, signed by David Ashby & Jane Ashby, received by James Keith CC; Book 20,257.
