According to Florence C. Youngberg, ed. Conquerors of the West: Stalwart Mormon Pioneers. Vol. 1-2. USA: Agreka Books, 1999, David Cluff was married to a total of 4 women at the same time albeit Betsy was his first and primary wife, whom he married in 1824. However, he was also married to Sarah Pippen on 25 July 1851; Hannah Garlick on 20 April 1852 and Hannah Chapman on 30 August 1852. Furthermore, he had a son, Jerry who was born in Provo, UT on 20 April 1856 by his third wife Hannah Garlick.
