Born in Larksville, Emma was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Ada Simms Keefe.
She was a graduate of Larksville High School, and was employed at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and Goldstein's Deli, Kingston, until her retirement. Emma was a member of the Hudson and Parsons Primitive Methodist Churches. Most important to Emma are her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Everyone special and close to Emma knew her as Nana and she held a special place in the hearts of all who met and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin M. Correll; sisters, Marguerite Bochniak and her husband, Thomas; Kathleen Eugley; and brother, Gilbert Keefe.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen Dunsmuir and her husband, Thomas, Hudson section of Plains Twp.; son, Edwin Keefe and his wife, Laura, Lebanon, N.J.; grandchildren, Matthew Dunsmuir and his wife, Nicole; Lindsay Dunsmuir and her partner, Dan Roper; Jared Keefe; and Michael Senia; great-grandchildren Hayleigh, Blake, and Bryce Dunsmuir, and Landon Boisey; sister-in-law, Viola Keefe, Allentown; several nieces and nephews.
Emma's family would like to thank the staff and Sisters at Little Flower Manor Nursing Home, and Dr. James Bruno for their wonderful care of Emma.
Funeral services for Emma will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Twp., with the Rev. Andy Jerome, pastor of Parsons Primitive Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre, officiating. Interment will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery, Sweet Valley.
