EARL ERVIN
(1879-1955)
Wellston, Ohio - Earl Ervin, 76, of Wellston Rt. 3, died at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at University Hospital in Columbus, where he had been a patient since May 24.
Mr. Ervin had been ill the last two years and seriously ill for eight or 10 days.
He was a coal miner and farmer.
Mr. Ervin was born Jan. 27, 1879, on Mulga Road in Wellston, where he had lived all his life. He was a son of Thomas and Rebecca Melvin Ervin.
He was a member of the Wellston Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are his wife, Erffee Evans Ervin, whom he married June 28, 1938; a sister, Mrs. Dow Phillips; a brother, Lem Ervin, all of Wellston Rt. 3.
Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Gaskill Funeral Home. Rev. H. Lewis Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 10 tonight and from 10 a.m. to the funeral hour Saturday.
