Hannah Allis was born on 28 January 1653/54 in Braintree, Suffolk County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, English Empire. Hannah married William Scott. The English Empire was amalgamated into the British Empire commencing 1 May 1707. As the married Hannah Scott, she died on 15 January 1717 in Hatfield, Hampshire County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, British Empire. Her husband died the following year.

The United Colonies declared their independence as the United States of America on 4 July 1776. The Town of Braintree became a municipality within newly partitioned Norfolk County on 26 March 1793.
