PEORIA ~ Edna Mae Bessler, 71, formerly of 215 Sam J. Stone, Apartment 615, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2007 at Fon du Lac Health Care Center in East Peoria.

She was born June 8, 1935 in Peoria to George W. and Edna Iona (Chance) Barthell. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son (Quincy Charles "Chuck" Hubbard, III on October 20, 2000 in Peoria), three brothers, and seven sisters.

Surviving are one daughter, Betty I. (Michael) Good of Peoria; three sons, Daniel C. "Danny" (Hwasuk "Lee") Hubbard and Ronnie L. Bessler, both of Peoria and Steve P. Hubbard of Pekin; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold "Butch" (Doris) Barthell of Peoria; and three sisters, Elaine Cote of Florida, Donna Gray of Sunnyland, and Nancy Gestrine of Peoria.

She attended Forrest Hill United Methodist Church and was a former member of the choir at B'nai B'rith Apartments, both in Peoria.

Her memorial service for family and friends will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Forest Hill United Methodist Church in Peoria. The Rev. Charliam Renner will officiate. Graveside services for family will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel.
