Funeral services for Mr. Albert J. Guilbeaux, Jr. 64, were held at 2 p.m. today (August 17, 1999, Tuesday) in Delhomme Bertrand Chapel of the Flowers here with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The Rev John DeLeew, retired, conducted the services.
Mr. Guilbeaux, a native of Duson and raised in Church Point, died at 5 a.m. Sunday, August 15, 1999, at his residence in Lafayette. He was the son of the late Albert Joseph Guilbeaux, Sr. and the former Marie Bernadette Comeaux.
A resident of Lafayette for the past 32 years, he had worked for the USL Animal Husbandry Farm for thirty years having retired in 1994.
Survivors include; his companion, Penny Mouton of Lafayette; four sons, Michael "Micky" Guilbeaux and his wife Arlene of Breaux Bridge, Albert J. "Buddy" Guilbeaux and his wife Sue of Duson, Dwayne "Duke" Guilbeaux and his wife Debbie of Oakley, California, and Kurby Jude Guilbeaux and his wife Terri of Orange, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Laura) Thibodeaux of Lewisburg, Cecile Miller and Mrs. Basil (Ruby) Matlock, both of Church Point; two brothers, Paul Moise Guilbeaux of Port Barre and Burton Guilbeaux of Crowley; and four grandchildren, Michael Guilbeaux, JR. Erica Guilbeaux, Kaitlyn Guilbeaux and Joseph R. Guilbeaux.
Mr. Guilbeaux was preceded in death by a son Joseph P. Guilbeaux.
Pallbearers were his four sons, Micky Guilbeaux, Buddy Guilbeaux, Duke Guilbeaux, and Kurby J. Guilbeaux, and Michael Guilbeaux Jr., and Oran Thibodeaux.
