Funeral services for Larry Towell, 68, of Columbia, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 8, 2017, in the chapel of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro, LA with Rev. Richard Bass officiating . Interment will follow in Coax Cemetery.
Mr. Towell was born on August 30, 1949, in Magnolia, AR, and passed away on September 5, 2017, in Columbia, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Towell and Esta Stephens Towell; son, Jeremy Towell; brother, David Towell; and sister, Janis Meridith.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife, Virginia Ann Vines Towell of Columbia, LA; daughters, Kimberley Towell of Wildsville, LA and Dana Blackwell and husband Damon of Columbia, LA; son, Kevin Towell and wife Sara of Columbia, LA; grandson, Payton Towell; granddaughters, Shelby Towell, Emma Leigh Towell, Ava Mae Towell, and Sara Bella Melton, and extra child, Eric Powell.
Pallbearers will be Richard Bass, Chris Towell, Richard Meierhans, James Aplen, Bobby Wilbanks, and Joe D. Vines.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Marvin Stevens, Bradley Stevens, and Leroy Meierhans.
