He was born July 3, 1961, in Bloomfield, to Donald and Esthermae(Stookesberry)Ellison. Bird graduated from Moravia High School. He married Sheila Lorraine Rinehart on June 28, 1981.
He worked for Tri County in Eddyville. He enjoyed being a member of the Iowa Donkey Mule Society. He was a Mason and a member of the Antiquity Lodge #252 AF&AM in Moravia.
He is survived by two children, Cory(Sammy)Ellison of Seymour; a daughter, Casey(Adam)Kool of Moravia; six grandchildren, Ashtyn, Keeton, Peytin, Breegan, Lane and Sidney.
Also surviving are his father, Donald Ellison of Unionville; one brother, Charles(Susan)Ellison of Eddyville; and one sister, Mary Kay(Dennis)Vanderheyden of Centerville.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents, Walter and Mary Alice Ellison and George and Agnes Stookesberry.
