Jackie died surrounded by those who loved her Monday, September 4, 2017 at Genesis Medical Center West Campus.
Jacqueline Ann Porstmann was born May 27, 1934 in Buffalo, Iowa, a daughter of Elmer and Marie Rosella (Westendorf) Porstmann. She was united in marriage to Edward Rodney “Rod” Hadley on June 11, 1960 in Buffalo. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2005.
She attended school in Buffalo, and then graduated from Mount Mercy College with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught at Perry Elementary, Walcott, Buffalo and Annie Wittemeyer.
Jackie’s greatest joy in life was her family; she cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She and Rod enjoyed going out dancing; they especially loved going to the Walcott Coliseum.

Those left to honor Jacqueline’s memory include children, Lynda (Paul) Slagle, Blue Grass, Lisa (John) Flanagan, Dallas, Texas, Lori (Andrius) Urvakis, Plant City, Florida, Lawrence (Roberta) Hadley, Atalissa, Iowa and Leland (Jennifer) Hadley, Walcott; grandchildren, Zach, Jim, Sam, Harrison, Jack and Hadley Ann; 2 great grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Teel, Blue Grass. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elmer, sister, Patricia Campana and brothers, Theodore & Richard Porstmann. May they rest in peace.
