Richard G. Hanson
1894-1973 Overland Park, Kansas
Richard George Hanson, 78, of 8030 Overland Park Drive, Overland Park, died today at a nursing home at 7541 Switzer, Overland Park. He was born in Salina, Kan., and had lived in Overland Park since 1951.
He was a building contractor before retiring in 1961. Mr. Hanson was a member of the Overland Park Lutheran Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Emma C. Hanson of the home; five sons, George R. Hanson, South Bend Ind.; F. Wendell Hanson, Denver, the Rev. Charles L. Hanson, WaKeeney, Kan., C. Keith Hanson, Reedsport, Ore., and Harvey N. Hanson, Sacramento; two daughters, Mrs. Berniece C. Siebert, 5420 Switzer, Shawnee, and Mrs. Joanne James, Sacramento; a brother, Henry P. Hanson, Chanute, Kan., 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hoge Chapel, Overland Park. The family suggests contributions to a memorial fund at the church.
