James Edward Allen

Mr. James Edward Allen, 59, of Cotton Valley, LA died Friday, December 6, 1991 at LSU Hospital in Shreveport, LA following a long illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 9 at 10 a.m. at the Bailey Mortuary Chapel in Cotton Valley, LA with Rev. Claude Weatherford officiating. Burial followed in the Cotton Valley Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Inc., Cotton Valley.

Mr. Allen was a native of Pleasant Hill, AR and had been a resident of Cotton Valley the past six years. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Camden, AR and was employed as a truck driver.

Survivors include one son, Mr. James R. Allen, Fayetteville, NC; three daughters, Mrs. Kathy D. Allen, Clute, TX; Mrs. Karen Bishop, Fayetteville, NC; and Mrs. Brenda Bishop, Animus, NM; his mother, Mrs. Beulah Allen, and one sister, Mrs. Lois Davis, both of Cotton Valley; one brother, Mr. Jimmy Allen, Fayetteville, NC; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Harry Baker, Willard Cox, Paul Townsend, John Hagan, S.A. Maxwell and Gary Neely.
