Mrs. Ratie Price Cleek Simpson, 97, of Hot Springs, died at the Community House Hospital Friday, May 12, following a long illness. She was a daughter of Jacob and Margaret Ann Thompson Cleek and was born in Bath County on Nov. 12, 1869. Survivors include a daughter, Miss Mary M. Simpson, of Hot Springs; two sons, George W. Simpson and Jesse H. Simpson, also of Hot Springs; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral service was held Sunday, May 14 from Star Chapel Methodist Church by the Rev. Rufus Casto and the Rev. James Crosier. Burial was in the Jacob Cleek Cemetery near Star Chapel.
