Margaret Mary “Marge” Flaherty, 83, of Delanco, N.J., formerly of Mahanoy City, died Sunday at Lourdes Hospital, Willingboro, N.J.
Born in Mahanoy City, she was a daughter of the late Michael John Malloy and Mary Hanlong. She lived in Philadelphia for several years, then moved to Delanco, H.J., in 1957.
She retired from Wood River Industries, Riverside, N.J., and had worked for Hagan’s Florist, Delanco, N.J., for several years.
She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic church, Riverside and St. Peter Catholic Daughters of America.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Kyran J. Flaherty; two sons, Kyran J. Flaherty, Jr., West Berlin, N.J., and Frank Flaherty, Delanco; two daughters, Mary Ellen Atzert, Turnersville, N.J., and Eileen P. Prickett, and her husband, Earl, Medford, N.J.; a sister, Patricia Broderick, Tavares, Fla.; grandchildren, Laura and Charles Flaherty, Nick, Zack and Luke Atzert, Jacob, Josh and Maria Prickett; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Lankenau Funeral Home, 303 Bridgeboro St., Riverside, N.J.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Mausoleum, Riverside.
