Harriet Stringer Cummins was the daughter of David Stringer and his third wife Sarah Sally Wilson. After David died in 1840, her mother married James Thompson. In some census records, she and her brother David V Stringer (buried in the Thompson Cemetery, Bee Lick, KY) are listed with the last name of Thompson, which has caused some confusion to some researchers. Harriet married Jones Cummins on the March 1, 1853. Her death certificate lists her burial in the "family graveyard Liberty" and the informant was her son Octave. She was 79 years, 5 months and 23 days old at the time of her death. Cause of death was a fracture of her femur, complicated by "old age"
