Addison Huffaker
Addison Huffaker, an old resident of Decatur, died at 10 o'clock Tuesday night at the hospial in Jacksonville. He was eighty-four years old Oct 28 last. He was well known here, having lived in Decatur for over fifty years. He is survived by his wife, who is eighty-one years old and the following children; Mrs. Mary B. Plunkett, Henry, Perry and H.L. Huffaker of Decatur and W.B. Huffaker of Oconee.
The body will be brought to Moran's chapel, where the funeral will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon. The interment will be in the Wyckles (now called Sharon) cemetery.

The funeral of Addison Huffaker was held at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Moran's Chapel. The services were conducted by Rev. S.W. Garber, pastor of the Church of the Brethren. The music was furnished by Mrs. O.D. Barnhart. Mr. and Mrs W.A. Garver and Charles Ashenfelter. The interment was in Wyckles now called Sharon) Cemetery.

Addison's Father John Peter Huffaker
is in the census in 1840. In 1850 his
2nd wife Mary Jane "Polly " Young
Huffaker is in the census with her
younger children. Addison and Allen have
already left home and John has died.
Addison at this time has married Matilda
"Hulah" Henson in March of 1850 and
moved to Iowa by the reading of the
census. They are shown below along
with her brother, Nehemiah Henson
living there.No children are listed
as they have just gotten married.

Addison's wife dies there in 1854 and
it looks like his Mother dies before
the 1860 Census. As He comes back home
to Casey County and marries Dolly
Clifton by 1857. He is shown in the
census with part of his siblings
living with him along with Dolly
and his children by his 1st wife
and children by Dolly.
