Ric, age 72, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017, at his residence. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated member of the Sertoma Club of Opelousas. Ric enjoyed being outdoors biking, running and sailing. He loved cheering on his favorite Ragin Cajuns baseball team. Ric enjoyed a friendly competition playing chess, pool and card games. He also loved cooking a home cooked meal for his family and friends, not to mention he was a great host for super bowl parties.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jennifer Pefferkorn Castille of Opelousas, LA; daughters, Kelli Suzette Castille of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Casey Lyn Castille of Lafayette, LA, Kristen Renee Castille Domingue and husband, Ryan Neil Domingue of Lafayette, LA; sisters, Donna Toll of Lafayette, LA and Marguerite Duhon of Lafayette, LA; and his 2 grandchildren, Elodie and James Shirley of Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abbie Anthony Castille and Marguerite Landry Castille; his infant brother, Roland Castille and nephew, Yancy Duhon.
