Alpha Lucille "Tincy" Fondy Thacker, 85 of Slaton, Texas was callled to Heaven on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Slaton, Texas.
Tincy was born Thursday, May 19, 1932 in the Morgan Community, Lynn County, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Heurick Perkins and the late Jimmie Perdue Perkins. Tincy attended and graduated from Wilson High School in 1949. She married Joe B. Fondy on June 5, 1949 in the First Baptist Church in Slaton, TX. Joe preceded Tincy in death July 30, 2002. Tincy worked at the South Plains Vet Clinic and Clark Self Furniture. She married J.M. "Buzz" Thacker on January 19, 2008. Tincy was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Slaton, she loved her Lord and her family with all of her heart.
Surviving are her husband, J.M. "Buzz" Thacker, sons; Joe Wayne (Mickie) Fondy of Lubbock, TX, and Wesley P. (Mincy) Fondy of Slaton, TX, a daughter; LuAnne (Gordon) Terry of Post, TX, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday at Englunds Chapel located at 1400 Woodrow Rd Slaton, Texas 79364 with Cleve Kerby officiating. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery, Slaton, TX.
