Daughter of Robert and Martha Jeter Kraft, she married Lester Bell and they had 5 children. After his death in 1953, she married William Smith. Dorothy was my g-aunt on my maternal side.

Dorothy Jane Smith, age 58, of 180 Cypress Way East died Saturday in Naples. She had been a Naples resident since 1978 coming from Upper Marlboro, MD. She was a member of the North Naples United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, William Smith, of Naples; two sons, Stanley Beall of Hollywood, MD and Michael Beall of Severna Park, MD; three daughters, Mrs. Carol Young of Owings, MD, Mrs. Nancy Green of Lothian, MD and Mrs. Jane Mackabee of Mechanicsvile, MD; two brothers, Paul Kraft of Willows, MD, Henry Kraft of Suitland, MD; two sisters, Mrs. Marion Reithmeyer of Clinton, MD and Mrs. Helen Moore of Upper Marlboro, MD; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted in Suitland, MD with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The Earl G. Hodges Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
