Karen Y. Conner, 44, passed away on March 5, 2007.

She was born in Wooster, Ohio on Jan. 24, 1963. Karen had been employed as a nurse at Akron General Medical Center. She enjoyed camping and most importantly, spending time with her precious family. Karen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Clark; father-in-law, Malcolm Conner; and grandmother, Gladys Baumgartel. Survivors include her loving husband, Richard, of 24 years; mother, Betty; daughters, Candice (Nathan) Strickland and Meghan Conner; son, Jarid Conner; granddaughters, Alivia and Allison; sisters, Lori Smith, Cindy (Jeff) Parr, Jackie (Terry) Conley, Shelly (Tony) Belsito, and Carol Zender; brothers, Rick (Sue) Clark and David (Crystal) Clark; mother-in-law, Anna Conner; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Calling hours will be Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service Friday, 12 p.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph. Published in the Akron Beacon Journal on 3/7/2007.
