Samuel Sailors a prominent and well known farmer of Clinton township, die at his some four miles southwest of the city yesterday morning at 2 o'clock after an illness lasting all the past winter aged 64 years. Mr. Sailors was born and raised on the farm where he died and spent practically all his life there with the exception of the time he was in the army having served in company H, 128th voluntary infantry. Deceased was a widower, his wife having preceded him to the grace four years ago. He is survived by six children: John, David, Quincy, Benjamin, Minnie and Mrs. Sarah Dodds, all of whom reside in that vicinity. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence burial being made in the St. John cemetery.
