Mrs. Lillian Kent Washam, 605 Slack Street, died Sunday morning after a sudden illness. Survivors, sisters-in-law, Mrs. Faye Countryman and Mrs. Maude Washam, both of Gadsden; God-child, Mrs. Joan Hallmark, Gadsden; a number of nieces and nephews. Services Tuesday 2:30 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home and burial in Forrest Cemetery. Mrs. Washam was a native of Dublin, Ireland and a resident of Gadsden for over 50 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gadsden, WMU, secretary of the nursery department and very active in all church activities. She was also affiliated with Dr. W. W. Patterson for the past 20 years. She was the wife of the late Arthur E. Warsham. Collier-Butler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
