The Miller (Missouri) Press, Feb. 28, 1974: Estella Day Connell, daughter of William and Mirinda Tartar Connell, was born May 19, 1881 near Phelps, Mo. She passed away February 25, 1974 at 8:30 a.m. in Springfield General Osteopathic Hospital at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 6 days.

She was married to Ezra Oscar Wright, November 28, 1903. He preceded her in death in July 1953. Mrs. Wright and her husband operated a hotel, store, service station complex at Phelps for many years at one time.

Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Wright moved to Miller in August 1953 and continued making her home there until 1969 when she established residence at the Lawrence County Nursing Home in Mr. Vernon. She had been a patient at the hospital one week.

Mrs. Wright was a member of the Miller United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Miller of Ventura, Calif.; four sons, Leonard and Carl Wright, both of Ventura, Calif., Everett Wright of Miller, Mo., and A. D. Strong of Willows, Calif.; one foster sister, Mrs. Ruth Barker of Miller, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; several great-grand-children and a number of nieces and nephews. One son, Charles A., preceded her in death in 1959.

Cherished in the hearts of loved ones and friends will be, many fond memories of this kind, loving mother and good neighbor.
