Charles R. "Charlie" Allen, Jr., age 87, of Monroe, formerly of Atlanta, died
Sunday, March 4, 2007. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 7
2007 at Corinth Christian Church, Loganville with remains placed in state at 1PM. Minister Don Hardison and Minister Lester Waters will officiate. Burial will follow at Corinth Memorial Gardens, Loganville.
A U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran serving during World War II and a retired Air Traffic Controller in the Metro Atlanta Area.
Mr. Allen was a member of Corinth Christian Church, Loganville and was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Allen Matthews in 1994.
He is survived by wife of 54 years, Louise Veal Allen, Monroe; son, Bob Allen, Suwanee; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Loy Joiner, Conyers; grandson, Jason Douglas Allen, Cumming; and great grandson, Destin Allen, Dawsonville.
