Alma A. M. Grau, 66, of Bennett, formally of Walcott, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 1969, Davenport Osteopathic Hospital in Davenport.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, at Runge Mortuary in Davenport.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20, at Runge Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa.

Alma Amelia Magdalena Wiese was born January 11, 1903, in Shelby County, the daughter of Frederick and Mathilda (Goettsch) Wiese. She received her education in the Shelby County schools. She married Edward Claus Grau on February 9, 1921, in Carroll. The couple moved to a farm in Scott County, near Walcott. Alma and Edward were later divorced. She moved to Walcott, until she moved to Bennett to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

Surviving are three daughters, Juanita (Harry) Upsen Jr., of Germany, Ruth Ann (Lloyd) Siebel of Bennett and Bonnie (Leonard) Freeze of Silvis, IL; two sons, Arthur (Ella) Grau of Davenport and Edward (Bernice) Grau of Stockton; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, William (Ida) Wiese of Manning, Louie (Elsa) Wiese of Manilla, Henry (Emma) Wiese of Audubon and Conrad (Myrtle) Wiese of Council Bluffs; and one sister-in-law, Clara Wiese of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Anna Hargens and one brother, Friedrich Wiese.
