Obituary

Almedia Rogers, aged 36 years, 8 months and 6 days, was born Oct. 4, 1871, near Victor, Iowa, where she continued to live until her marriage to Jacob F. Wassom, Dec. 21, 1898. Since then she has lived in Marengo, Iowa.

To this union were born three children, one of whom, Mason Eugene, still survives her. Her death occurred March 10, 1908. Besides her son, she leaves a father, mother, brother, sister, and husband to bear the loss of a faithful mother, daughter, sister and wife.

About 1895 she joined the Congregational church of Victor, and after her marriage, there being no church of this denomination at Marengo, she changed her membership to the M. E. Church of that place.

Since her first decision she has been a true follower of Christ. She was for a few years a teacher in the schools of Iowa county and leaves many friends to mourn the loss of a true friend.
