He was a graduate of Van Wert High School, and a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. He retired from Consolidated Freight as a truck driver after thirty-five years of service, and was a member of the retired Teamsters #24. He also worked as a driver at Borden Cheese. He enjoyed remodeling houses, woodworking, farming, and bird watching.
With his wife, his memory is cherished by his three stepdaughters; two sons, two daughters; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joy and Vaughn E. Williamson; sisters, Flo Gallaway, Rea A. Stripe, Ilo Mozingo, and Gay Huey.
