David O. Martin went to be with his heavenly Father on the morning of August 26, 2017. David was born on July 17, 1942 in Troup, TX to Oin & Lula B. Martin. He graduated from Troup High School in 1962. David began working in the grocery business in 1955. He later went on to complete the Dale Carnegie Flagship training course in Leadership Training and Human Relationships before being named as the manager of Brookshire’s in Marshall, TX in 1972. He completed his successful career retiring from Albertson’s in Longview TX.

David was preceded in death by his parents, son, Chris Martin, sisters, Venita Martin, Denice Martin, Maurice Sherlock, brothers Cliff Martin, Dean Martin & Gene Martin.

David was a beloved father and grandfather. He dearly loved spending time with his family. His grandbabies meant the world to him, he cherished every laugh and moment with them. His favorite past time was playing moon with his brothers, cousins, sons, friends and nephews.
