Herbert Lee Tevis, 73, died January 28, 2009 at U.K Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was born Nov. 11, 1935 in Georgetown, KY to the late Leroy and Ada Mae Van Arsdall Tevis.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and retired as owner of Tevis Motors.
He is survived by his children: Karla (Chris) Strippelhoff of Marietta, GA, Lee (Holly) Tevis, Joy Tevis, and Tim (Diane) Tevis all of Georgetown. Grandchildren: Kabren, Cage, Eden, & Callie, Kole Strippelhoff, Cade Strippelhoff, Brittany Williams, Shelby Dixon, Jessi, Tanner, and Marlee Tevis, and sister Hazel Kidd.
Memorial services will be 4 PM Saturday January 31, 2009 at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Lester officiating. Visitation will be 3-4 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
