Death of an Eminent Physician - Dr. Samuel Chew, one of the most eminent physicians of this city, died at 11 o'clock yesterday morning at his residence, No. 70 Paca street, near Saratoga. He had been ill several days past from an attack of pneumonia. The deceased was in the 58th year of his age, and leaves a widow and four children. He had been practicing medicine in this city for thirty years past, and at the time of his death was on the faculty of the Maryland University, being Professor of Principles and Practice. He was for some time Professor of Materia Medica. Professor Chew was much revered in this community for his integrity and many charities.
