Willie Earl Colvert, a native of Dora, Alabama, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at his home in Fairhope, Alabama.

Willie served in the U.S. Air Force and participated in the Bay of Pigs invasion. He retired as a Chief Master Sergeant after a 37 year career.

Willie is survived by his wife, Patricia Griffin Colvert, his son, Danny Colvert (Ginger), his daughter-in-law, Janice Colvert, step-sons, Bill Griffin (Charlotte) and Victor Griffin (Tiffany), his grandsons, Terry, Ashley, Daniel, Allen, and Ken, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Willie was preceded in death by the mother of his children, and his wife of 48 years, Annette Morgan Colvert, and his sons, Tim Colvert and John David Colvert.

A celebration of Willie's life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. His burial will be in Crestview Memorial Gardens, Adamsville, AL with military honors.
